VINTAGE TRAILER REMODEL

Take a look at what I have been up to this summer.  No wonder my garden is full of weeds.  Even though I enjoy pulling weeds, this project has been more fun.

Sold a few of my antiques to buy this antique.  Look at those classic lines!!!

The old door has been repaired several times, but it adds character.

It came with many dents and dings, but I guess we all have a few of those don't we.

Woops, I wonder who was driving when this happened? (it wasn't us) We will be adding new skin to several places and replacing the entire underbelly.  It will take some work, but the end result will be amazing!

Spent several days gutting out the interior.

We took it on our yearly river trip to Wyoming.  We certainly had a lot of fingers pointed and people laughing, but they just couldn't imagine what it looked like on the inside.  I think I will put a sign on the back that says,

I MAY BE UGLY
ON THE OUTSIDE,
BUT I AM BEAUTIFUL
ON THE INSIDE!

If I can't GROW them, I PAINT them

During the long winter days when it's too cold to be out working in the gardens, I spend much of my time in the studio painting flowers.

ideas are sketched on large drawing paper

I sit on my old, soft and comfy, vintage foot stool to paint

getting the basic shapes and shadows blocked in before I begin painting the details

sometimes I paint people

once I even painted a "self portrait"

I like to paint cows

This large painting "THE LEAD COW" framed in old red barn wood is available for sale.
It can be purchased at "Gypsy Mama's" in Fort Duchesne.

this 11x14 painting is available for $65.00

Sitting Pretty

I'm a rough and tough farm gal, but that don't mean I ain't got a bit of a "girly" side.  No, you will never catch me a wearin' PINK..... however, I don't always stomp around knee deep in.......well, let's put it this way.  I like things PURTY and SPARKLY just as much as any gal.  I wear a skirt (and cowboy boots of course)........ sometimes even around the house.  I have always had a hankerin for old stuff fixed up with ribbons, lace, and odd bits and pieces of linen or velvet.  Sewed all my clothes when I was a teenager, cut up old worn out Levis to make unique jackets and skirts, even made fancy prom dresses for fellow classmates to earn myself a little spending money.  Well, I am finally getting my own art studio.......just kicked (with my pointy toed boots) everybody and the furniture out of the living room and hauled in all my art and sewing supplies.  So have a peek at my studio, where I spin wool into yarn, paint, create my quirky projects, and yes, they are even a little "girly".......
