a bucket of GERANIUMS

One of my favorite flowers is a geranium.  They come in from the gardens and reside in a sunny south facing window for the winter.  As I wash dishes they remind me of warmer weather just around the corner........... at the end of a long street, way down the road far, far away.

Sat down this morning and did a quick study.

Thought maybe I'd just paint over it after it dried.  I have made a goal to paint more, but that requires a new canvas for every painting.  So painting over a painting saves buying more materials.

Then I wondered if someone out there might like this to hang out in their potting shed so here's the deal.  I'll send this to the first person who can answer a question about myself correctly.

First here are the stipulations;

1.  You must be a  "follower"

2.  Leave your answer in the comment section
(you only have one guess)

and

3.  Promise you won't throw darts at it.

When I was young I would grab the salt shaker and go out into the garden and eat?

  2. If it were me, I would say tomatoes or rhubarb. Both delish with a shot of salt in the garden. Yum! I'm going to go with rhubarb!!!

    1. GREAT ANSWER! I love fresh rhubarb. Eating it right out of the garden is a real treat, but it's not what I would take my salt shaker into the garden to munch on.

    2. Hey Jill, was it carrots? I learned that from somebody, maybe it was you. (I hope I get it, I don't know how else to get a painting from you:)

    3. Hi Rach,

Nope, it wasn't carrots. Did I ever tell you about eating a 5 gallon bucket full? After eating that many, it's a wonder I still like them. Someday, you'll get a painting, I haven't forgotten.

    1. Hi Shari,

Well, we do eat a lot of cukes. I finally had to limit my kids to 5 a day each so there would be enough to take to market. However, it is not what I would take the salt shaker out into the garden to eat.

      Good luck with the kidding!

    1. Hey Scott,

Made many a lunch meal of new spuds while working at the farm. I would dig under the plant, trying not to disturb the vines, fish out the new potatoes, wipe the dirt off on my pant leg and enjoy. However it is not what I would go out into the garden with the salt shaker to eat.
Are you the Scott we know? If you are Glen says HI.

  6. All right, I'm gonna say onions. Dad would eat onions with salt.
