old, dead, twisted trees

I have always been fascinated with old dead twisted trees.  I think they tell an amazing story without saying a word, and having the Grand Canyon in the background makes the story even better.

Took these photos on our way back from Phoenix. They are taken from the south rim.  Hopefully on our next trip we can spend more time and catch the view from the north rim.
