starts with W

I am sitting here waiting for baby goats to be born, thought Brownie would have them before now, but I am passing away the hours thinking.........
generally my thinking gets me in hot Water,
but I got to thinking about all the FARM/GARDENING words
or combination of words
that begin  with the letter W
so dust off your old Dictionary that's sitting on the shelf and find
a perfect Word or words that describes your concept of gardening,
 nature,
 and living
close to the earth

Here's my list, please add to it in the comment section
I'll pick which one I find most beautifully unexpected and Wonderful,  and

  1. Waaaah!! The sound heard throughout the valley every may when kids had to start moving hand lines(whine lines). LOL

    1. Many an early morning "waaah" could deffinately be heard across the valley, but it wasn't me. I was so happy to get hand lines, you could move them morning and night and not have to sit on the ditch bank all day getting burnt to a crisp, and all night changing water every 2 hours. Gave me time during the day to ride my horse!

    1. My favorite way to walk in the garden. Squishing mud between your toes as you tend to the watering, the grass tickling your feet as you run across the lawn, but sometimes painful when you stepped on a bee or a stickerburr. Brings back wonderful memories of dangling them over the culvert as the water ran through it and filled the garden rows.

    1. AH, reminds me of lazy afternoons floating on a home-made raft on McGregor's Pond. The edges were filled with moss, polly-wogs, and snails. The shallow water on the north end was always warm and invited you to hunt for frogs and snakes along it's edge.

    1. Listening to the creeky old windmill was soothing after a long day of work. It's solid strength makes all seem right in the world.

My favorite time of day is early, early, before the sun is up and the moon hasn't gone to bed. I love to wander the gardens and see it awake. I am blessed by the world that surrounds me.

  5. My friend Darcy left a comment, her answer was WEALTH. If you don't garden you may not understand that wealth can come in another green form other than cash. It comes by providing for your basic needs and the taste of a tomato picked warm off the vine. Wealth can be found witnessing the miracle of a tiny seed planted and the harvest of something wonderful.
